Dad and I went and tramped around my property again today, battling the mosquitoes while working on deciding which 4-5 acres I'll be taking out of timber tax to use for my house and pastures, etc. We picked 4 acres in the northwestern corner.
We spotted this deer on the road in front of my land...there are tracks all over the place, so it was neat to finally see one in person.
Dad took this picture, because he had a better view out the window on his side of the truck:
I stuck a few more plants in my tiny raised bed garden, too...it's finally almost full. :)

ReplyDeleteThat area looks to be the higher elevation on the property, and on the northern side with a slight slope to were the brook is. I bet it will offer nice wildlife viewing with morning coffee on the deck :)
So long as you keep a minimum 50' setback you should be good. With the brook there I'm certain you will stay a little more.
