I don't mind saying that Thane gave me a run for my money when he was a puppy, but he is maturing into a great dog!  He is intelligent and has a fairly high prey drive.  He showed considerable natural talent and had a willingness to take direction at a herding instinct test at 16 months of age.  He is very athletic and would likely excel at agility and other intense dog sports.

As Thane continues to mature (he is 17 months old at this writing), I am impressed both with how far has come, and how much potential he has.  Thane is gentle with my young nieces and with little puppies.  His energy level is moderate; as long as he gets a good walk in the morning, he is calm during the day...but always ready to go if an adventure presents itself.

**NOTE - Thane's hip x-rays showed that he has bad hips, so he will not be used for breeding.
